Over 10 thousand confirmed cases of influenza A(H1N1)
This morning, a total of 10.215 confirmed cases of influenza A (H1N1) have been reported in 42 countries, according to information from the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control. The majority of these cases is reported in the USA, or 5.469, including probable cases of influenza.
The number of confirmed deaths from the influenza is now b; as many as 72 of them are reported in Mexico. Six deaths from the influenza have occurred in the USA, one in Canada and one in Costa Rica.
- No cases of the influenza A(H1N1) have been diagnosed in Iceland.
- The level of preparedness in the country remains unchanged.
